    • The evidence that Tobias of Weiboldshasen and Tobias of Wuerttemberg are the same person is as follows:

      a. The death record for Tobias, father of Joseph gives his age at death in Wuerttemberg as 79, placing his year of birth as 1678.

      b. One record tells us that Tobias was from Ansbach, and other records tell us that the other contemporary SCHLAGINTWEITs in Wuerttemberg were from Weiboldshausen, Ansbach. One of those those "other" records names the man's father as Tobias.

      c. The Weiboldshausen parish register records the baptism of Tobias SCHLAGINTWEIT, son of Tobias and Anna, on 4 Oct 1679, which matches the above.

      d. The first child of Tobias and Anna of Weiboldshausen to appear in the register is son Jacob born 1677. This gibes with the 1676 marriage date above. Also, when Jacob appears in Wuerttemberg along with Tobias Jr., he is a mason [maurer] as is his father.

      e. The names of the five SCHLAGINTWEIT's who suddenly appear in the Derdingen area of Wuerttemberg circa 1700 are also the names of the five sons of Tobias and Anna baptised in Weilboldhausen
