Assuming the 1 Jan date is correct, his marriage record and the 1921 Census both place his birth in 1914. So it seems more likely that he was b. 1 Jan 1914.

Notes - On 18 Feb 1937, at Hackett's Cove, Carrie Mae JOLLIMORE m. Harvey Earl HUBLEY, b. 1914, s/o William and Fanny HUBLEY, and the couple take up residence in Seabright. The problem is that there does not seem to be a William HUBLEY who married someone who bore the name Fanny, and there are very few HUBLEY's who carried the name of, or were nicknamed, Fanny.
Seemingly, the only Fanny this could be is Fanny Evelyn HUBLEY who is born and lives at Seabright and is the right age. Further, although she is born 31 Oct 1896, she does not marry until at least 1935. However, her obit does not mention her having any children.
The most reasonable theory I have been able to come up with is that Harvey is her illegitimate son and that, until she marries Francis GATES, they live with her father, William M. HUBLEY of Seabright. If true, this would explain the listing of William and Fanny HUBLEY as his parents.
