  Both David's birth record and the record of his second marriage name his mother as Catherine. And while this could be a reference to Anna Maria Catherina (MOSHER) ZWICKER, it seems unlikely since first, she is almost always referred to as "Mary"; and second, he is baptised at St. John's Anglican vice the Dutch Reformed Church.. But it is clear that he is the son of George Melchior ZWICKER, Jr., who acknowledges him as his "natural son" in his will.
