• Notes

  Harold SAUNDERS and his wives appear in the 1930 and 1940 Censuses of MA. In 1930, he appear with wife Minnie [DEAL] and daughter Margaret, and in 1940 he appears with wife Olive [RUSSELL] and children Margaret, Donald, and Russell. Russell's obit names Olive as his mother and adds two more siblings, George and Richard. Since George and Richard were apparently born after 1940, it seems clear that both they and Russell belong to Olive, and it is also clear that Margaret belongs to Minnie, leaving only Donald. Because Donald is born in 1931 and the next child, Russell is born in 1939, leaving a gap of eight years, it would appear then that Donald belongs to Minnie.
