Notes - The civil marriage register records the birth of an unnamed son, but not a daughter, on 26 Oct 1869. I think that this unnamed son is simply a mistake in the register and the person born that date is really daughter Ada Jane. If they were both born on that date and one appeared in the register, there would almost certainly be a second entry in the register right after the first one. Since we know that Ada Jane survived to adulthood, it can't simply be a case of one twin was stillborn since, if the male died, why does only he and not Ada Jane appear in the register.
