Notes - At marriage, she names herself Violet Doreen SHANNON, d/o John SHANNON and Nora THOMPSON. However, her obit gives her maiden name as Violet Doreen HEIGHTON, d/o Herman and Maude (SHANNON) HEIGHTON.
This would seem to indicate that she was born the illegitimate daughter of John SHANNON and was raised by a relative, possible his sister, named Maude (SHANNON) HEIGHTON; but the reverse could also be the case.
